Smart engineering coupled with good sense.Dog's weren't meant to live above the ground in a wood or plastic box, they instead prefer a den-like home dug into the ground, away from the sun, wind, rain, and extreme cold. No other doghouse other doghouse on the market takes this into account, only the DogEden. We thought long and on this and designed our to intelligently take advantage of what dogs institutionally desire; they desire a comfortable den, integrated into the earth.
The 60 series is designed for dogs 60 pounds and below.
The DogEden is a 36" high by a 36" long and 18' long. The doorway is is 14" high and 13" wide.
The DogEden is an engineered manufactured dog-den, and therefore will mirror the temperature of the ground around it. In most cases that means that your DogEden will stay around med 60's year round. In the Summer, even when it's 95 degrees outside, the temp of the soil 1 inch below the surface is quite cool. so placing a DogEden over 1.5 feet below the surface, fully utilizes the temperature differential and your dog will enjoy the cool den.
Even in the winter, when the air temp is -zero degrees Fahrenheit, the ground temp is 50+ degrees, which dogs do well in. Add their body heat to an optimized dog den and you have a nice med 60+ degree environment, perfect for a dog with a coat.
It is a unique feature and option built into the DogEden 60A. It makes it easy to use any tie on cable. If you purchase one of our DogEden 60K (non tie-out anchor) doghouse and decide later that you would like to use a anchor with our DogEden, we can sell you a tie-out anchor separately to retrofit your doghouse. However, for warranty compliance, we have to require you use our tie-out anchor kit when retrofitting to ensure you have a solid anchor that won't damage your doghouse. *note* we only sale high grade marine grade quality 316 stainless steel nuts bolts, and washers. They are designed to last for ever just like our DogEden. The cheaper standard grade hardware store nuts , bolts and washers will only rust out on you in less than a month and start to stain everything that touches it....
To clean in outside all you need is a washcloth and soapy water. To clean the interior you can use a broom and a dustpan, or even a vacuum. It only sits 16 inches below the ground which is easy to fit your arm into. If you don't fancy the idea of sticking your hand into it you can use a vacuum or broom.
The DogEden is pretty indestructible. So indestructible in fact that we ship it directly to you without any packaging. Our doghouse takes advantage of the earth’s own geothermal properties to keep the DogEden comfortable year round.
We use HDPE which is high density poly-ethylene. Its the same stuff they use for truck bed liners and culverts. They do great underground and are backed by our life time guaranteed warranty.
